PRIMEX Director and former chairman Dr. Jerome F. Sison is assisting ADB in the conduct of a Project Completion Review (PCR) for its Capacity Building to Combat Land Degradation Project in the People’s Republic of China (PRC).

The Project, which aimed to strengthen the enabling environment and build implementation capacity for future investment projects in the country, was ADB’s first under the PRC-Global Environment Facility (GEF) Partnership.

Engaged as Natural Resource Economist for the PCR Mission, Dr. Sison will participate in various mission activities, particularly in the preparation of the Project Completion Report (PCR) and the accompanying technical assistance completion report (TCR), with specific focus on the reassessment of the Project’s institutional, economic, financial, social, and environmental benefits and performance indicators.

The Project covered six provinces/regions with a combined population of approximately 120 million people. The participating provinces/regions include Shaanxi Province, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Gansu Province, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and Qinghai Province.
