PRIMEX provided the services of International Senior Road Safety Specialist to assist in conducting a feasibility study (FS) and preliminary design. Under Task 3 of the Road Safety Audit, the tasks were: (i) collect road accident data from Bangladesh Police, Accident Research Institute, Bangladesh Road Transport Authority and others related organizations for getting proper road accident data for the assigned roads of the project. Prepare the historical review of the collected data and analyze with proper software. Utilize the iRAP guidelines for road safety measures; (ii) conduct field visit to the entire length of the project roads to assess the current situation of road safety and the potential impacts of the project on road safety; (iii) during the feasibility study stage, conduct road safety audits for stage 1: planning and feasibility and stage 2: preliminary design, in accordance with ADB’s Road Safety Audit for Road Project: An Operation Tool Kit or similar procedure acceptable to the client. The road safety audit should cover all items in the checklists and include any other necessary and relevant aspects; and (iv) prepare relevant chapters and appendixes of feasibility study report to present the analyses, findings, and recommendations as described in items (i) to (iii). Under Task 9 of Road Safety Measures, the tasks are: (i) conduct road safety audits for preliminary design, in accordance with ADB’s Road Safety Audit for Road Project. The road safety audit should cover all items in the checklists and include any other necessary and relevant aspects and (ii) prepare relevant chapters and appendixes of preliminary design report to present the analyses, findings, and recommendations as described in Task 3: items (i) to (iii).
