Feasibility Study for the Kalaanan Irrigation Project (KIP)

PRIMEX fielded eight experts who provided their respective technical inputs into the various analyses required in the conduct of the feasibility study (FS). Specifically, the experts were responsible for: (i) geological analysis; (ii) irrigation and drainage design; (iii) soil and land classification; (iv) economic and financial analyses; (v) environmental assessment and preparation of environmental management plan (EMP); (vi) social assessment (involuntary resettlement) and preparation of social safeguards (land acquisition and resettlement framework [LARF]); (vii) watershed assessment and preparation of watershed management framework; and (viii) GIS mapping.
Collectively, the Study Team was expected to deliver the following outputs: (i) Inception Report; (ii) Land Resources Report; (iii) Agriculture Report; (iv) Hydrology Report (Water Resources, Irrigation Water Requirement, Reservoir Simulation, Flood Study); (v) Irrigation and Drainage Inventory Report; (vi) Engineering Geological and Geohazard Assessment; (vii) Factual Report on Subsurface Investigation; (viii) Survey Mapping Report, Topographic Maps; (ix) Environmental and Social Assessment Report; (x) Value Engineering/Value Analysis (VE/VA) Report; and (xi) Feasibility Study Report.
