PRIMEX fielded a Communication Specialist, who was responsible for helping promote the forum and facilitate knowledge capture and sharing. Specifically, the Specialist was in charge of the following: (i) preparing and executing the communications, marketing and knowledge management plan for the forum; (ii) writing and preparing the information, education and communication (IEC) write-ups and materials; (iii) researching and compiling media coverage on the event; (iv) reviewing and finalizing the metadata of the presentations and materials for online upload; (v) reviewing and coordinating the translation and uploading of the videos, including undertaking translation, if needed; (vi) processing the Forum evaluation, insights and feedback; (vii) supporting the drafting and production of the Forum proceedings and publication; and (viii) coordinating the Track 2 production of the Chasma Project book. In addition, the Specialist was responsible for the following tasks before the forum: (i) supporting the journalists covering the event; (ii) working with the graphics and multimedia artists to design the forum collaterals; (iii) coordinating with ADB’s Communications Department for style and visual identity compliance; (iv) supervising the session documentation and knowledge capture and sharing and uploading of materials in ADB-managed websites and relevant social media sites; (v) capturing farmer stories through videos; (vi) drafting and administering the post-event evaluation survey; and the (vi) setup and management of the online community.
After the forum, the Specialist was in charge of the following: (i) preparing session notes and summaries; (ii) consolidating all documentation including media coverage; (iii) reviewing and packaging the videos, presentations, summaries and other Forum materials for online upload, in coordination with Department of Communications and relevant Agriculture Thematic Group staff and consultants; (iv) finalizing the metadata of all Forum materials; (v) compiling the Consent to Publish forms, presentation summaries, exhibitors’ technology summaries, and other materials for online upload; (vi) updating the Event page contents in ADB-managed websites (i.e., adb.org, ADB Knowledge Events, Development Asia, ADB Blogs); (vii) reviewing, editing, rewriting (as needed), writing online articles related to the Forum, as needed; (viii) coordinating the production of the Forum proceedings and publication with the Department of Communications, including engagement of contractors, review of photos, and other related activities; and (ix) organizing and updating the RDFS Forum files in SharePoint.
