PRIMEX fielded an International Resettlement Expert whose main responsibilities were to: (i) review the Resettlement Plan (RP), Indigenous Peoples’ Plan (IPP), and Land Acquisition Plan (LAP), as well as other associated plans/reports prepared by RHD and its consultants, to ensure that RHD implements social safeguards activities in compliance with ADB’s SPS (2009) and the relevant laws and guidelines of Bangladesh; (ii) advise RHD and its consultants on necessary revisions and improvement where deviations and deficiencies are identified in the draft of the above documents; (iii) assist the ADB project team in drafting the relevant linked documents (LDs) of the Report and Recommendation of the President (RRP) for the proposed MFF; and (iv) assist the ADB project team in addressing comments from the internal documents review process.
